Girls’ Empowerment and Advocacy Nextwork (GEAN) is a not-for-profit, non-political organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria in 2025. All donations received by GEAN are used solely for the advancement of our charitable objectives as set out in our Constitution.
GEAN gratefully accepts donations in the following currencies and forms:
Donations may be made via bank transfer or other approved payment platforms as listed on our website or communicated by GEAN representatives.
All donations are applied directly toward GEAN’s charitable programs, including but not limited to:
No portion of donations shall be paid or transferred as profit, dividend, or personal benefit to any member of GEAN’s board or staff, in accordance with our CAC-registered Constitution.
Donors wishing to designate their gift to a specific program (e.g. “scholarship fund” or “Pad-A-Girl outreach”) may communicate this at the time of donation. GEAN will make reasonable efforts to honour such designations. Where a restricted purpose becomes impractical or impossible, GEAN will contact the donor to agree an alternative use.
Donations to GEAN are generally non-refundable, as funds are often committed to program activities promptly. However, GEAN will consider refund requests in the following circumstances:
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction to geanextwork@gmail.com with proof of payment. Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days.
GEAN will acknowledge all donations via email. Donors requiring formal receipts for tax or compliance purposes should request this at the time of donation. GEAN will provide documentation to the best of our ability as a registered non-profit.
Donors may choose to give anonymously. Anonymous donations are accepted and applied in the same manner as named donations. GEAN will not publicly attribute anonymous gifts without the donor’s explicit consent.
Where a donor sets up a recurring donation via a payment platform, they may cancel at any time through that platform. GEAN is not responsible for charges incurred after a donor has cancelled directly through a payment provider without notifying GEAN.
Donor information is handled in accordance with GEAN’s Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share donor data with third parties for marketing purposes. Donors may opt out of GEAN communications at any time by contacting us at geanextwork@gmail.com.
GEAN reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via our website and/or email. Continued donation after notification of changes constitutes acceptance.
