How do I donate to GEAN?
We accept bank transfers, card payments, and mobile money. For large gifts or recurring donations, please contact us directly.
Is my donation tax deductible?
GEAN is a registered not-for-profit with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission. Please consult your tax adviser regarding deductibility under Nigerian tax law.
Can I donate from outside Nigeria?
Yes. International donors can donate. Please contact us at geanextwork@gmail.com to discuss international transfer options.
How will I know my donation was received?
You will receive an acknowledgement receipt within 48 hours of your donation. We also publish regular impact updates for our donor community.
Can I make a recurring donation?
Yes — recurring monthly donors are the backbone of GEAN's ability to plan and deliver programmes sustainably. You can set up a recurring gift on our payment platform.
Can I donate in kind — goods or services instead of cash?
Absolutely. We welcome in-kind donations including hygiene products, educational materials, printing services, and professional skills. Please contact us via geanextwork@gmail.com to discuss.
Do I need to be a professional to volunteer with GEAN?
No. We welcome volunteers at every stage of their career — students, early professionals, and experienced practitioners alike. What matters most is your commitment and reliability.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes. Many of our volunteer roles — communications, content creation, administrative support, grant research — can be done entirely remotely.
How much time do I need to commit?
It depends on the role. Some volunteer positions require 2–4 hours per week during active programme periods; others are project-based and more flexible. We will always discuss expectations before you commit.
Do volunteers receive any support or training from GEAN?
Yes. All volunteers receive an orientation and are supported by a GEAN team lead throughout their engagement. We are committed to making volunteering a valuable experience for you, not just for us.
Can organisations or groups volunteer as a team?
Absolutely — team volunteering is a great way for companies, student organisations, or community groups to engage with GEAN's work. Contact us to discuss a group volunteer day or structured engagement.
What types of organisations does GEAN partner with?
We partner with businesses of all sizes — from SMEs to multinationals — as well as foundations, government agencies, and international NGOs. If your organisation cares about gender equity and youth empowerment, we would love to talk.
Is there a minimum donation or engagement level for corporate partners?
We work with partners at every level of engagement. Contact us to discuss what is feasible for your organisation and what impact it can create.
What does GEAN provide to corporate partners for reporting purposes?
We provide documented impact data, field photography and video (with consent), official receipts, and quarterly/annual reports for your CSR records.
How long does a typical corporate partnership last?
Most partnerships are structured over 6–12 months, aligned with specific programme cycles. Long-term partnerships are strongly encouraged and come with deeper integration into GEAN's work.
